Swimmer?

I am so glad pool season is coming to a close, as many of you know swimming is NOT my thing! Happy Autumn to all + enjoy those cool morning walks running through fallen leaves. I know we will. Tail wags to all.

Today I'm 4.

Well, the big surprise was that today is my 4th Birthday! My human mom & dad sure did make it special. Mom made me my very own cake....yummy, yummy. I got some new tennis balls (which I can ALWAYS use!), lots of treats, and a new Beaver to add to my collection. A highlight of my birthday was when mom & dad took me to the Annual Pooch Plunge at our outdoor pool! WOW... I have never had so much fun. I worked on my swimming and tried not to drink the water, with about 100 dogs in the pool one of them may have taken a " little leak", hummm.

Watch Where You Swim.

My human Denise has been gone forever, actually 4 whole days, checking on her parents in a far away place, Florida! I had a good time while she was gone because my human Doug took me to work with him. I have never ever spent a night in a Fire Station, it was fun but a little scary. I was scared when all the Firefighters left me alone when they went out on a call, but when they returned, they all petted me. Denise told me this scary story when she returned: "In Florida you just gotta’ take alligators seriously. Not too long ago a tourist from the Philadelphia area lost her Yorkshire Terrier, when she took him for a romp in a park near Tampa Bay. It seems that the little guy ran down to the water’s edge to check things out. He never returned."
I am glad I live in Colorado. I am glad Doug took me to the Fire Station. I am glad Denise came back.
Wags to all and be careful if you venture to Florida.
