Seven.

A little patch I was keeping for my birthday," he said; "but after all, what are birthdays? Here today and gone tomorrow. Help yourself, Tigger. - Eeyore

Here I am thinking "Wow, another great year ...."
Mom surprised me with a Gluten Free Apple Pie and she even added some of her special Wood Type. I waited patiently until Dad took the shot, while I balanced my birthday hat ......

I am trying not to dive into this beauty + also hoping my hat stays on, or at least that little white bally thing ....
Oooopppssss...... the darn hat fell.
Yeah, I FINALLY got to chow down! Don't worry Mom + Dad took pieces BEFORE I got mine. YUMMY. What a great      Birthday, I don't feel a day over 21, again!

Earth Day, Every Day.

The special order invitations for the Earth Day documentary were a HUGE success! Mom + Dad went to the special showing at Colorado State University last night, without me. It was nice to hear that Aldo Leopold and his family were true dog people! How many times have you read Sand County Almanac?

Getting Ready.

My human mom is getting ready for the real thing! All I can say is she will look really sharp in her new, crisp, red shirt. We have officially become Paws For Tales volunteers for Poudre School District. Did I tell you that the "tailor" stopped by the house to fit me for my Therapy Dog Vest that will be made to fit just me ... I am hoping my tail does not make my butt look big!
Mom heads for training at Dunn Elementary School tomorrow. I think, from what I am hearing is that she will learn the ropes, come home and tell me, then each and every Wednesday we get to have K-3rd graders read to me. I am not aloud to correct them, just listen. I am a very good listener.

Happiness Is.

Happiness to me is a good hike with good humans, that was today. My human friend Mary, massage therapist extraordinaire, sailor, and all around doggie person came with us. My goal was to just run, run, run and run some more. Denise and Mary kept up with me, but talked a lot! I learned about the Aspen Club, that provides a wide range of health education, screenings, hospital discounts, and social opportunities to residents from Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, and surrounding communities. If your a human, check it out, it's FREE!/shop.
Maybe when I am older I can join a Golden Retriever Paw Club, a doggie group that goes out on walks with our humans and our tennis balls because that is what Happiness Is All About. But for today running on the Michaud Lane Trail, part of the Reservoir Ridge Natural Area was a 10 on the dog bone scale.
Tail Wags To All and enjoy a good walk.
